La Prealpina talks about Siena’s market

(…) In AJ’s notebook there’s also Alan Anderson, considered by Siena on the long list of options MPS is evaluating to fulfill the last three spots on the roster. Currently, there are still high odds on a confirmation with Romain Sato, despite being sought after by Olympiacos and the Dallas Mavericks (tempting NBA prospect but the Texans would give him little space to play). If the player from the Central African Republic were to leave, the ex Vitus and Maccabi forward would be an intersting oprion for the Tuscans, who are also awaiting a decision from David Hawkins (possible exit from current contract but Milan doesn’t seem like a possible destination for the “Hawk") before making a final move on the point guard. If both Sato and the ex AJ athlete stay, Mclntyre’s (foto) substitute will be an EEC on, with the option of opening the Ibby Jaaber idea (currently in Las Vegas with the Lakers) seeing as though Calloway and Cook have faded away (the former signed with Seville, the later for two-years with Valencia). Otherwise, they’ll go for an American point guard and a European guard (offers for bomber Rakocevic, ex Tau Vitona and Efes Pilsen, and "comeback kid " Kaukenas).(…)

(…) I’m not hiding that I received other offers, the most of important of which was from Siena, but I waited for Cremona too long and missed that train. (…)

Euroleague Commissioner, Jordi Bertomeu, talks about the Italian teams’ situation in the competition

(…) “I’m watching Armani with great hopes. Maybe they didn’t get what all the world was hoping for, but I feel they have the desire to emerge, even though on their schedule. With Rome, they’re in an important spot in Euroleague. Siena is a great team, but with the advantages and disadvantages of a small market.” (…)
